IDC: Server Market Still Down

Research firm IDC server market rate in 2010 server market is still down, but the worst seems to be ending in the year ahead. This conclusion is similar to that issued by Gartner, in a few weeks ago.

But unlike the server, to share other hardware devices, IDC provides specific reasons about an exciting survey of the chip industry. Because, IDC believes the industry believes remains strong processor, controlled by Intel and AMD. Both these reasons were considered to improve the outlook for purchase.

"The increase is still a relative term, but IDC noted that server revenue worldwide declined 17.3 percent to $ 10, 4 billion in the third quarter of 2009. Meanwhile, sales in the second quarter rose 17.9 percent, and is the highest growth since 2005 , "said IDC research analyst Daniel Harrington, who cited the Internet News.

"X86 market is expected to begin showing signs of recovery in the third quarter of 2009. Customers find compelling value proposition to refresh their system because of the strong product release of the latest vendor supported by Intel and AMD processors," he added.
